Ribbon cutting ceremony with local officials and dignitaries marks official opening

WASHINGTONVILLE, N.Y. (July 10, 2019) — Aurochemicals, the internationally recognized manufacturer of natural aroma ingredients for the flavor and fragrance industry, marked the official opening of a brand-new, $2.5 million-dollar warehouse facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday – July 9, 2019. Local dignitaries, including the County Executive of Orange County, Steven Neuhaus; Village of Washingtonville Mayor, Joseph Bucco; and Orange County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Lynn Allen Cione and over 50 guests attended the event at its headquarters in Washingtonville, NY.

The 22,000 square foot warehouse facility will provide increased space for research, development and quality control work, in addition to more space for state-of-the-art corporate offices, inventory maintenance, product storage and production. The new warehouse is outfitted with custom shelving units and illuminated by large skylights and windows.

“The flavor and fragrance industry is growing rapidly, and we have become a major player in the industry,” said Deo Persaud, Aurochemicals CEO. “Our new warehouse facility allows us to continue to provide our customers with the products they need, when they need it. We want to always stay ahead of the curve and be an innovative leader.”

The new warehouse facility was a two-year project, which came on the heels of a recent string of expansion efforts on behalf of Aurochemicals. Just last year, Aurochemicals announced the completion of a new state-of-the-art lab, which doubled in size and now offers new technology for research and development. In 2017, the company dedicated its $1.5 million world headquarters, which brought the square footage to an increase of 32,000 square feet.

Special remarks and comments at the ribbon cutting ceremony were made by dignitaries including: County Executive of Orange County, Steven Neuhaus; Village of Washingtonville Mayor, Joseph Bucco; Orange County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Lynn Allen Cione; Orange County Partnership President and CEO, Maureen Halahan; Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation President and CEO, Mike Oates; Orange County Director of Economic Development, Bill Fioravanti; NYS Senator James Skoufis’ Office Constituent Relations Specialists, David Rabbitts; and NYS Assemblyman District 99, Colin Schmitt.

“We are able to expand due to our tremendous growth and increased market share globally,” said Persaud. “We’re thrilled to call Washingtonville and Orange County our home, and thank our community, local officials and dignitaries for all their support.”

“Aurochemicals has been an asset to Orange County and I am pleased to see its continued growth,” said Steven Neuhaus, Orange County Executive. “Led by strong leadership, the internationally recognized company has thrived during its expansion, and I know it will continue to flourish. I was honored to help Aurochemicals mark the official opening yesterday of its sparkling new warehouse facility.”

“Not only is Aurochemicals a leader in the business community, they are also a leader in corporate social responsibility,” said Lynn Allen Cione, Orange County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. “Just last year, Aurochemicals gave back to their local community with a very kind donation to help local children in need. I’m excited to be here celebrating the continued success of Aurochemicals and the expansion of their headquarters in Washingtonville.”

At the event, Aurochemicals showcased a new company video on the continued expansion, growth and company mission. Additionally, a new cutting-edge website was unveiled during the ribbon cutting and can be viewed here: www.aurochemicals.com.
